Paige and Adam met briefly in college through mutual friends, however it wasn’t until post-grad until they connected. The two actually started working for the same IT company after graduating college in Austin, TX which sparked their mutual interest in one another. They started hanging out at company functions at first, until they had their first date playing putt-putt golf! Adam is originally from Austin and since Paige moved here barely knowing many people, the two bonded by doing things all over the city. And they have been inseparable since!
Saturday, February 25th was a day full of surprises for Paige. Adam told Paige he had a surprise in plan for the day, which was normal for him to do as he does frequent spur of the moment surprises. Little did she know that this surprise would be quite bigger than the ones before. Adam had his best friend, Devin drive them to a local airfield, where there was a helicopter awaiting them. Upon helping her get out of the truck, he told her a helicopter tour was their surprise for the day and that they’d both be enjoying their first ride together. Well, just a few moments later he gets down on one knee, and she was completely caught off guard. Watching her reaction was so great. She had no idea and was truly in shock with tears of happiness.
Shortly after, we’re all celebrating with champagne and admiring her stunning new ring before taking a tour of Austin! Having the chance to see our city from above was SO cool and I’m so glad I was invited to be part of it. It was my first helicopter ride as well, and it was so wonderful to see Austin from a totally different perspective.
Upon landing and arriving back at the airfield, another surprise was awaiting Paige. Adam assured her this was the last surprise of the day, and that they would be taking a ride to go meet their families for dinner at a restaurant. It was so sweet to see excitement and pure joy gleaming from Paige’s face as I told them goodbye, sending them off to enjoy the rest of their evening.
Sike!!! He surprised her once more (really though, this is the last one of the day I promise) with a surprise party at a family friend’s house where all of their closest friends and family were awaiting to celebrate. Ah, I don’t even know what I loved more about this day. Their families were so sweet, and getting to witness them around their loved ones who were truly so excited for them was so rewarding. And not to mention, they are pretty great company. Before toasts, Paige’s father prayed over everyone and it was such a bittersweet moment to see the beginning of two families joining together. Oh and the food was pretty stinkin’ awesome too. Shoutout to the Bartling’s, Poorman’s and the Scobee’s for putting together such a great party for the newly engaged couple!
Congratulations to Paige & Adam, and thank you for letting me capture this special day!!
